Argonaut were appointed by the Watkin Jones Group to provide Rainscreen Cladding, Louvred Cladding, Balcony Cladding and Soffits to this prestigious scheme located adjacent to the listed Victoria Bridge.

Completed in late 2019, Riverview Court is a prestigious development of 44 contemporary riverside apartments and a café close to Bath’s city centre, sandwiched between the Upper Bristol Road and the River Avon.

Designed by Nash Partnership, the new development replaces low rise industrial sheds.  with four-storey, contemporary riverside living in the heart of Bath.

The ‘copper boxes’ at the top of the building were designed by Argonaut to closely mirror the required geometry and was provided in a special corten effect aluminium PPC finish. Designed in 3D, our works included the feature C channel, cladding, flared coping and louvred screens.

Other elements designed in 3D involved the cladding to balconies on the main south elevation overlooking the River Avon. Corten effect cladding was designed to line the internal face of the balcony and then wrap over the handrail and return down all the way to the soffit. All elements were clad apart from one side panel which remained as glass helping to create a visually stunning façade where materials were very carefully selected to reinforce and reference the character of the conservation area.
